Street design and segregation?

Placemaking, Hedonic Pricing, and Sorting in U.S. Cities

Project Summary: The ultimate goal of this assignment was to strengthen essential practical skills that characterize a good economist. I conducted a literature review first looking at the effects of street design characteristics on home prices, then sorting models that include built environment aspects. I reflected and critiqued the current state of placemaking within economics and proposed improvements and areas for new research.

Paper Discussion: The Economics of Place-Making Policies

Project Summary:  Studied and reflected on Glaeser & Gottlieb (2008);  wrote and presented a critical  evaluation an an accessible, non-technical policy brief to inform policy makers about the essence of the paper.
